TrustOps is the review and response process Qubicweb uses for fraud signals, public guidance, and trust-related updates.

Moderation ladder

Every step is logged with reviewer IDs, timestamps, and redaction notes. Nothing skips the ladder.

  1. Step 1

    Submitted

    Report enters the system with context metadata only. No public visibility.

  2. Step 2

    Under review

    TrustOps validates legitimacy, removes sensitive details, and requests clarification if needed.

  3. Step 3

    Corroborated

    Signals match existing patterns or are backed by independent evidence. Still private.

  4. Step 4

    Published advisory

    Insights become sanitised advisories (patterns, bundles, map density). Identifiers only surface if cleared.

  5. Step 5

    Archived

    Signals age out of public dashboards but remain in sealed audit logs for regulators.

Data handling & safe sharing

Data intake

  • Reports can be anonymous. Context like page title, source, or referral helps triage but is optional.
  • Incident facts, identifiers, and evidence are encrypted at rest and scoped to authorised reviewers.
  • Evidence uploads are virus-scanned and hashed for tamper detection. Sensitive files remain private.

What we never publish

  • Raw user submissions or screenshots.
  • Personally identifiable information (emails, phone numbers, addresses) unless explicitly approved and legally safe.
  • Unverified allegations, even if multiple people submit similar claims.

How sharing works

  • Reviewed signals feed the pattern library, signal-density dashboards, curated forum posts, and TrustOps briefings.
  • When a credible risk exists, summaries (never raw data) may be shared with law enforcement or regulators.
  • All external sharing is logged with timestamp, reviewer, and reason.

Operating principles

These principles guide every review decision and remain available for audit and assurance checks.

  • Attribution-first: cite sources, describe tactics, never sensationalise.
  • Clarity over rumours: no crowdsourced naming-and-shaming; every claim requires verification.
  • Safety over virality: TrustOps curates what appears publicly. Community replies stay gated.
  • Privacy by default: personal data is minimised, redacted, or withheld entirely.
